Probate Researchers

We can search for grants of probate, birth/death/marriage/adoption certificates, as well as Decrees Absolute of divorce.

We can undertake searches for missing wills, named or unnamed beneficiaries who have moved away, or whose addresses are not known.

We can help you administer the estate, and help you find out more information about the 'common-law' spouse, or claimant under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, as well as the deceased, such as previous addresses, and where the person was registered to vote. Indeed we can sometimes prove that a claim is completely unfounded.

We can calculate how an estate or trust should be distributed, from a family tree, irrespective of the number of beneficiaries, providing you with the information in a clear intelligible way. We can also provide these calculations in a spreadsheet for you to use with your own software.

Urgent cases can also be dealt with on demand. The nature of the urgency, will determine the level of our fees. We have on many occasions been able to trace beneficiaries within a couple of hours of starting the research. Proof, in the form of certificates, substantiating the entitlement of the beneficiaries we have traced can always be provided, but in extremely urgent cases this may not be possible immediately, although much will depend on the circumstances.
